One of the examples we've looked at is Abraham. Romans 4:19 tells us that he did not consider how old he was or Sarah's barren condition. He wasn't weak in his faith. Consider means, "to consider attentively, fix one's eyes or mind upon."
Paul is showing us what makes faith either strong or weak.
1) Don't consider the natural things that stand in your way. Abraham didn't look at his age or Sarah's barren womb.
2) Don't waver. Wavering is when you bounce between two opinions. In James 1:6-8, this is called being double minded.
3) Be fully convinced. Abraham didn't start out as a faith giant. It took a long time for him to get to a place where he trusted God's Word. Finally, he and Sarah both agreed with what God promised no matter what their circumstances. Isaac was born soon after.
