As last Sunday was Mother's Day I thought this was appropriate to share. Last Fri. I worked in the ICCU . One of my elderly patients became confused and paranoid due to medication she had been given. I had to wake her son at 1 a.m. in the hopes that he could calm her down. After he spoke to her he told me that his sister and he would be coming in to stay with their mother.
After he arrived he told me that after all that his mother had done for them this was the least that they could do for her.
Such reverence for a parent is not something we hear about to often. It is something that should be something for us to strive for. It can be difficult. Start with reverence for your Holy Father and it should become easier with your earthly parents.
