Sunday Morning Message - Guest Speaker, Pastor Alan Hecht

Text: Nehemiah 13:22 and Various

In this text, the Israelites were rebuked for intermarrying with those of foreign lands. Their language and the worship of God was being lost as a result. Our language is a strong indicator of our character. Does it reflect God's language or the language of the world?

1.  Cursing - the word, "profanity," in Latin means, "not sacred."

One definition says, "packing emotions we wish we didn't feel into words we wish we didn't speak."  Matt. 12:34 - Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Cursing takes bodily functions, intimacies, and names and references used for God and makes them ugly. How do we overcome this area of ungodly language? It's a good idea to let the emotion of the situation simmer down before putting it in words.

2.  Gossiping - Sharing information with someone who is not part of the problem or part of the situation. Ephesians 4:29.

If you have a problem with someone, go to that person.

3.  Complaining - venting - Attempting to make a situation better by telling someone else how truly horrible it is. Numbers 11:1-2 - Complaining displeases the Lord. We will always find something to complain about.

If you dissect a complaint, there's a request. Go to the person and make a request in humility.

4.  Critical Judgment - All judgment isn't bad. You use judgment every day when deciding if your car will fit in a parking space and a number of other situations. Critical judgment is attempting to increase your stature by belittling other people.

Jesus brought about change in people such as the woman with the issue of blood by contributing to their development. When we see others as Christ sees them, we will do the same thing.

Are we more fluent in the language of God or the world? Let's not get de-sensitized to what comes out of our mouths.

Administrator's Note: Thanks to Pastor Alan Hecht for a compelling message. We look forward to him visiting again in the future.

Zoe Christian Fellowship is located at 1111 Easton Rd. (Route 611), in Warrington, PA. We hope you'll visit and share in worship, praise, and the Word.

Special Meetings - Blessed!

Jay and Tammy Hoskins were with us for five awesome meetings from Thursday, 6/9, through Sunday, 6/12.
Tammy sang and ministered along with our worship team, while Jay brought messages on the Presence of God. The Lord worked mightily in the lives of members and visitors. Here are just a few highlights:

1.  We don't worship to bring the Presence of God into our midst. We worship to enter into the Presence of God that's already there.

2.  God is omnipresent. If we want to enter His Presence, we must be aware and refocus our attention on Him through praise and worship.

3.  A young man, who recently had knee surgery, was totally healed and removed his brace.

4.  A woman was healed from back pain.

5.  A marriage was saved and the wife and baby healed.

The services are available on the sermon player on our website. Please visit and click on the Listen Tab.

Are You Ready? Preparing For Miracles!

Text:  Mark 5:25-34

The Word tells us that "God gave gifts to men," and when one of those gifts comes to town, what do we do to get ready?

In Mark 5, the woman with the issue of blood had gone to many doctors and suffered a great deal. She went to each one with the expectation of being helped. When she heard about Jesus, she went not only with an expectation that something might happen but also an anticipation. The dictionary defines anticipation as a realization in advance. She went to Him and acted by touching the hem of His garment.

Expectation without anticipation is just talk. Too often we hear about Jesus healing but don't do anything about it. There's no excitement, no anticipation to move us forward.

When we went to Florida, my daughter and son-in-law prepared our 2-year-old grandchild. They told her where we were going, about Disney World, and about all the animals. She started telling her little friends and everyone else that she was going to Florida and about the activities that awaited us. Every day she grew more excited. She anticipated all the good things ahead.

Enemies of Expectation:

1.  Failure
2.  False doctrine
3.  Frustration
4.  Friends

Once your expectation is off the Word, it takes effort and intention to put it back. Too often Christians waste time denying what is real instead of establishing the goal.

Believe. Something shared/taught will open your eyes. Be on the look out for something to engage your faith and disconnect your doubts. When it happens, what action comes up in your spirit? With Blind Bartimaeus, he cried out to Jesus when He came near and cast aside his beggar's cloak.

Proclaim. If we truly expect something to happen, we cannot help but share it! The four friends brought the lame man. They even tore up the man's roof to get him to Jesus.

Zoe Christian Fellowship is located at 1111 Easton Rd. (Route 611), in Warrington, PA. Anne Durant, who operates in the gift of healing, will be with us Tuesday, May 3 - Friday, May 6th. All services begin at 7:30 PM. Come out and bring those who need healing. We're anticipating great things!
