Text: Genesis 3:1-7
What did Adam and Eve have before they fell?
1. They walked with God.
2. They had a perfect relationship with each other.
3. The Garden.
4. Peace.
What the enemy did:
1. He distorted what God said.
2. He brought distrust into their relationship with God and each other.
3. He distracted them from the truth of God's Word.
4. He brought distance between them and God. They hid from God.
5. They were displaced as a result. The Lord moved them out of the Garden.
I Samuel 9 & 11
Saul was called and anointed to be king over Israel. Instead of obeying God, he went his own way. Many people say they have nothing. This means they've been made unaware of what God has done. If we don't know we have something valuable, we won't know to guard it. Once we have something the enemy fears or knows is valuable, we become a target.
Saul's Loss
1. The Mission (I Samuel 15:1-3) - The Lord sent him on a mission, but it got distorted.
2. The thoughts to distrust God's Word came.
3. His eyes were distracted from the direction of God.
4. His relationship with God grew more distant.
5. Saul became rejected and displaced.
