In Matthew 9:18-22 - "and suddenly" was not as sudden as it appears. The woman who touched the hem of Jesus' garment went through a process. Many others touched Jesus in the crowd, but when she touched His garment, power went from Him.
1. She heard about Jesus.
2. She pondered how this could affect her.
3. She received revelation.
4. She thought and spoke that revelation.
5. She acted on it.
Was she sad when she heard and thought about Jesus? The two things that accompany faith are joy and peace.
The next story we're looking at is Jairus.
1. He was saying the same things. "...and she will live."
2. But then he heard some things that shook him.
3. Jesus words to him..."Do not be afraid; only believe."
Jairus obeyed, and he received the answer to his request.
In I Samuel 16:17-23, David was sent to be a great benefit to Saul. His anointed playing, his victory over Goliath, and as a great warrior were valuable. Then things changed when the people began to sing about David's successes. Saul became angry and displeased. From that day forward, he was jealous of David and sought to destroy him.
The woman received her healing.
Jairus almost lost the answer when fear tried to enter in.
Saul lost the great benefit of having David on his team.
