People Who Reject God - Romans 9:1-13
Paul writes that he has great sorrow and continual grief. He started out preaching to the Jews of his day, but they rejected Jesus. Paul feels this way because he knows the condition rejection of God brings upon people.
In the Old Testament, God accepted Jacob and rejected Esau while they were still in the womb. God has a different perspective than we do. He knows the choices we will make before we make them. He is outside time and can see from the beginning to the end. Still, He gives people the opportunity to obey Him.
Romans 9:14-29
God had a plan on how to release Israel from the bondage of Egypt. Pharoah could have let them go willingly, but refused. So, God struck at the very gods the Egyptians worshiped: the Nile river, frogs, etc. By choosing to reject the way of God, he also chose to be used to demonstrate the power of God.
Why does God still find fault with Pharaoh and others who go in a direction that God has planned for?
