Sunday Morning Series - Under the Surface - Moved With Compassion

Text:  Jude 1:20-23 and Various

What's the difference between the compassion and love of God?

What Jesus Taught

In Matthew 18:23-35, we have the story of the unforgiving servant. We're not going through the entire passage, but focusing on one aspect. The servant was forgiven much, but he refused to forgive someone of a much smaller amount. He got into trouble because of his lack of compassion.

In Luke 10:30-37, the story of the Good Samaritan is told. The man had mercy on the victim of a robbery.

Luke 15:20 tells us about the Prodigal Son. The father didn't chase after the son, but when he returned, he had compassion on him.

What are the three ways Jesus moved on behalf of others?

1.  Faith on the part of the receiver.
2.  Compassion
3.  A combination of faith and compassion.

Jesus had compassion in some cases, but always had love. To hear the entire message, please go to our website and click on the Listen Tab. You can listen online, download it to your MP3 player or podcast.

If you're visiting in the area or looking for a church home, we invite you to our Sunday Morning Service at 10:00 AM. Super Church is also available for the kids.

This coming Sunday (10/14), we'll be having a Covered Dish Dinner after the service, which you're welcome to attend. There's always plenty of food, so we hope you'll take the opportunity to get to know us a little better. We look forward to meeting you.
