Text: Luke 8:11-15
We've been looking at the various types of soil Jesus used to describe the condition of our hearts. Today, we'll focus on good ground. How much good ground is in you and can you make more?
Previously, we saw thorny soil includes:
1. Distracting pursuits
2. Cares - This is talking about anything you care more about than the Word of God.
3. Riches - Pursuing increase in any way contrary to God's Word.
4. Pleasures - Anything the enemy entices you to do to get joy that is against God's Word.
Three characteristics of the mature person - good soil:
1. They know the Word.
2. They act on the Word.
3. They speak the Word.
What does good soil not contain? What does it have? To find the answer to these and other questions, we invite you to our website. Click on the Media Tab, and you can listen online. You can also download the message to your MP3 player or podcast.
If you're visiting in the area, we hope you'll stop in and worship with us on Sunday, at 10:00 AM. For local folks, if you're looking for answers to life's troubling questions and want a deeper relationship with the Lord, come on out for Bible-based teaching with practical application.
