Text: Exodus 3, 4 & Hosea 1, 3
Sometimes God will have us return to the same thing. For example, God called Moses to deliver the Children of Israel from Egyptian slavery. He jumped in there without any preparation and failed. Years later, God speaks to him from a burning bush and once again calls him to deliver his people. Moses probably thinks back to that first attempt and makes all kinds of excuses.
God gave him answers for all his excuses, including having his brother, Aaron, act as his mouthpiece. He finally agrees. It's a hard thing to go back and do something you attempted before. Make sure it's God sending you back and not "we want to go back to Egypt."
What kind of things has God set you back to do? Make sure you know the difference between a burning bush and a hot, dry wilderness. Moses heard from God, but the Children of Israel wanted to escape the wilderness.
How many people have burned you in the past? How many have gotten burned in the ministry?
